Ways of Giving

Saint Thomas the Apostle’s Celebrating the Next Century Campaign seeks pledged commitments to be fulfilled over the next three to five years. Gifts to the campaign may be made outright, payable over a number of years, or through a trust or will.

CASH
Cash contributions are the most common form of giving. The campaign will provide donors with a pledge card to indicate their anticipated schedule of pledge payments.

STOCKS, BONDS, MUTUAL FUNDS, OPTIONS
Gifts of securities that have appreciated in value and exercisable options for purchasing securities at a discount in the future provide excellent tax advantages for donors.

GIFTS OF PROPERTY
Most forms of property – real estate, personal property, insurance policies, and business interests – can provide a suitable charitable gift. The campaign encourages donors considering a gift of property to consult the appropriate advisor.

GIFTS THAT PROVIDE LIFE INCOME
Irrevocable contributions of cash, securities, and other property into a number of planned gift arrangements can provide income to a donor, and/or a spouse, and/or other beneficiaries for a period of time. These types of gifts include: charitable gift annuities, pooled income funds, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable lead trusts.
