Some Points of interest from the Pastor

Each week we are blessed at Saint Thomas by those, who in faith join us in prayer.  As your pastor, I am particularly blessed by those whose participation in prayer and support of our parish never waiver – regardless of summer vacations.

Although the summer is meant to help us take some time to rest, there is little rest to be had!  Our small maintenance and office staffs are busily preparing for the fall.  Despite limited resources, numerous projects are scheduled so that our buildings and programs may run more smoothly.  The members of the Finance Committee and Trustees have been sharing their time and expertise to help the Capital Campaign and Renovation Projects progress on schedule.  Those who are part of the 100th Anniversary Committees are busily putting the finishing touches on the schedule of upcoming events.  Parish Ministers continue their service at the Altar.  Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Ushers and Servers all continue in their roles without interruption.  At Mulz Hall, a small band of dedicated volunteers are working on the items that have been, and are being donated for the Rummage Sale.  Please stop by and support this significant parish fund raiser.

We are richly blessed by those who share their time freely with us each week.  Please consider how, and where you may be able to assist.   No one is too busy to help ~ just ask those who volunteer!   Please consider volunteering to assist with our Annual Rummage Sale which is going on now.

Lastly, as I’ve noted in part in past bulletins, to conserve our limited resources, please note the following Summer Schedule changes:

· Parish meetings are postponed for July and August.
· There is only one daily Mass at 9:00 AM.
· Church closes daily at 3:00 PM.
· The Parish Office will be open during the week from 9 – 6 PM and from 9 AM -12 PM on Saturday and 9 AM - 2:30 PM on Sunday.

With wishes for peaceful days this summer, and thanking you in advance for your continued generous support, which makes all these works possible.
